SMS、EMS、MMS 簡訊之簡易說明： ●SMS (Short Message Service)：短訊服務（就是我們常用的手機"簡訊"），為純文字簡訊服務，只提供純文字的傳送及下載 (最多 160個英文字或 80個中文字)，是目前最普及且運用最廣泛的簡訊服務。這項服務目務目前幾乎所有手機及系統業者皆有支援，且互通性強。 ●EMS (Enhanced Message Service)：是 Motorola、Ericsson、Alcatel與 Siemens 共同協定的規格，可提供圖形、音樂、文字的傳送及下載，可以把動畫 icon、音樂及創意文字一起整合到傳輸訊息裡。如一些有支援圖、鈴直接下載功能的手機，便具有此功能。國內所有業者都有支援。 ●MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service)：多媒體訊息服務，可以經由手機同時收發整合照片、文字和聲音的多媒體訊息服務。消費者使用MMS多媒體簡訊服務，就可以利用手機收發圖片及短片等多媒體訊息。目前只有少數手機有支援，不過目前最大的問題是不同手機與不同業者之間的MMS皆無法互傳
